Glossary of "Cladistics (2nd ed.)" by Kitching et al. (1998)
- The fit of a character to a cladogram in terms of the number of occurrences required to explain the data. Cladistic consistency is usually measured using the consistency index or the rescaled consistency index. See also consistent.
